The train is chugging along

The ADSD blog train for September is still going. Remember you have until September 30, 2008 to download all the goodies the 56 different designers have for you. You can find a list of the various blogs by clicking on the title to this post. Cornucopia of Colors is the name of the collaboration and features the beautiful colors of fall. Thanks so much for stopping by my blog on your train ride. I hope you enjoyed your visit and will come back often. I offer freebies not only on my blog, but also the Raspberry Road Designs site, and the Raspberry Road CT Blog . I hope you will visit them as well.

ADSD Collaboration Freebie for you

I love camping in the fall. Do you? I love the smell of wood burning in a campfire, roasting hot dogs and marshmallows over an open fire, making S'mores, and telling ghost stories around the campfire. Awakening to the cool crisp morning air after sleeping in a tent is so refreshing.

As you know, I took part in the September Collaboration at ADSD - Cornucopia of Colors. I have some elements in my portion that are just right for your camping layouts. I thought I would make a little treat for you to get you started using your kits you are downloading. Here is a brag book page using my portion of the kit.

If you haven't jumped on board the blog train to pick up the fabulous designs offered by the designers, now is the time to do it. A list of the designers and links to their blogs can be found below this post Have fun!

For those of you that took the time to post a comment on the 4shared site and here on the blog, I thank you. I read all comments and they are very much appreciated. For those of you that didn't, shame on you!

Oh and you can click on the title to this post to download the brag book page.

Just Released

A new brag book featuring Raspberry Road Designs Savior-Faire kit has just been posted on her blog . I had lots of fun designing this book. I love the colors.

I hope you will swing by Raspberry Road and pick up the freebie. As always, comments are welcomed!

ADSD September Collaboration FREEBIE

I have been busy this month working on a collaboration kit for Aspiring Digital Scrapbooking Designers (ADSD). With the first of September here, it is time for the unveiling of all the goodies the ladies have cooked up. This is a preview of my contribution to the kit. Not all of the elements are shown in the preview. There are lots more, I just got tired of adding them to the preview sheet. LOL.

Click on the preview to download it.

Sorry about the mix up with the links, I have corrected them now. That's what happens when you work outside the home and come back to try to get a bit of work done at home in the early morning hours.. lol

Here is a listing of the other member's sites to pick up the rest of the collaboration. I hope you have lots of hard drive space! We have 56 participants, and the previews I have seen are simply amazing!

Tomorrow is a big day!

Tomorrow is the unveiling of the September ADSD Collaboration called Cornucopia of Color. I took part in this month's collaboration. We have 56 designers participating this month and all will be offering freebies. These freebies will only be available for one month, so grab as many as you can while you have the chance.

See you at midnight with my portion of the kit. ;)

Gift for you

On the Raspberry Road CT Blog, you will find this quick page I made. It is made with a free kit Susan posted on her blog called Annie Collection.

WOW! Look at this Beauty!

Raspberry Road Designs has just posted a new fall kit that is absolutely stunning! I can't wait to get my hands on this one. Fall is my favorite time of year (I know I told you that before, LOL).

Here is the preview.

Goodies, goodies and more goodies

The Raspberry Girls have been extremely busy this week. There are lots of freebies on the RRD CT Blog http://raspberryroaddesignsct.blogspot.com/

The three new quick pages created by Adele will be lovely additions to your photo albums. Then there is the final set of 5 brag book pages by Leigh using the Tailwaters Collection. Cheryl posted a lovely quick page on Friday and I have a few things up too.

If you haven't stopped in this week, you are sure missing a lot of neat stuff.

New QP

I posted a new QP freebie for you on the RRD CT Blog. Here is a preview:

Another Brag Book completed

WOW, I finished two brag books this week! It really makes me feel like I am accomplishing something good. One is already posted on Raspberry Road Designs as a freebie. I used Susan's Nantucket Briar kit for it. Here's a preview.

If you click on the preview, it will take you to Susan's blog so you can download the freebie.

The other one I finished will be released soon on Susan's blog. For it I used her newest kit, released today, County Fair. This kit is loaded with the neatest papers and graphics suitable for all kinds of layouts. There are tractors, farm animals, ribbons, buttons, and other elements. There is even a paper in the kit that has an old pickup truck and images of a ferris wheel. Remember those? I used to love to ride the ferris wheel at the fair!

Where has this week gone? and a freebie

My goodness, time is flying by. Before you know it, it will be Halloween, then Thanksgiving will sneak in and . . . I don't even want to think how fast the C word will get here. Work is taking up a lot of my time, but I'm still spending a lot of my home time designing.

In fact, I am experimenting with some new things. One of the new things is printable photo greeting cards. I would like you to help me decide whether to pursue this venue, so I am offering one as a freebie today.

Click on the preview and you can download it. Only the front is shown. The inside of the card is blank so you can write a message. The file is png, at 300 dpi. Please, if you download it, let me know what you think of the finished product.

Thanks a bunch!

Congratulations, Susan

Back to work for me, and a gift for you

I started my new job today. Not sure how I'm going to like it It's a lot slower paced than what I'm used to working. We'll see.

Anyway, I have a surprise for you. I have been playing again. Head over to the Raspberry Road CT blog and see what I have cooked up for you using Susan's new kit, Victorian Bliss http://raspberryroaddesignsct.blogspot.com/

Time for bed, that's another reason I'm not sure about this new job......I am SO NOT a morning person.

What a wonderful week I had!

You know when you go on vacation that the time will fly by too quickly. This past week was a whirlwind of activity . . . traveling, seeing the sites, visiting with family, casinos, and lots of other stuff. I am soooooo glad to be home, but now comes the unpacking, catching up on laundry and getting back into the swing of things at home.

One really neat place we stopped on the way to my sister's house was a little town in Illinois, called Metropolis, just across the Kentucky/Illinois border on Interstate 24. We had pulled off the interstate at the rest area to take pictures of the kids in front of the "Welcome to Illinois" sign for their scrapbooks. When we started to leave the parking lot, we saw a sign that said "Giant Superman Statue" with an arrow pointing to the left. We decided to check it out. This is what we found.

Pretty neat, huh? But that's not all this little town has to offer. There were paintings on the side of the buildings.

This is a painting honoring the men and women who have served and are serving in the armed forces. A plaque beside it commemorates the story of one veteran of World War II, John Steele, from Metropolis.

Metropolis also offers a Superman museum, and other pictures of Clark Kent, and Lois Lane painted on the side of the buildings. We didn't have a whole lot of time to spend, but it is definitely a must see if you are in the area. I plan to spend some time there the next time I travel through the area.

I'll be back later on today to post a freebie for you, another quick page from Caribbean Sunset.
